As Mufutuli Vineyard Ministries continues to grow, so does the means for the community of Zambia to be self-sufficient and self-funding, which is important for the development of the people. By providing Mufutuli Ministries with the proper resources, the people of Zambia can continue to pave the way for others, as Charles has and his team continue to do.
Since the project’s inception in 2005, most of the land has been cultivated for farming; an electrical service has been installed, as has an irrigation system. From the production of the farm’s harvest –bananas, corn, and a variety of vegetables have been grown to yield profits for the families living and working at the farm.
- Funding for the growth of the only government school in the area has doubled in size.
- The Zambian government has granted the permission to build a medical clinic overseen by government medical staff.
- The purchase of two major pumps and piping for water have been implemented in the higher elevations of Mufutuli, thereby saving lives of women and children who have been eaten by crocodiles while inhabiting the waters.
- 200 mosquito nets have been given to protect close to 1,000 people from contracting malaria.
- Sponsored clothing drives have provided clothing and shoes to hundreds of people.
- The Mufutuli outdoor church has been expanded to a multi-use facility.
- Transportation for the ministry outreach programs and trucks for farming operations have been provided.
- Cows and goats serve for sources of meat and milk but more are needed.
