The number of orphaned children throughout Africa increases on a day-to-day basis due to the diseases of Malaria, HIV, and Aids. In Zambia, 1 in 5 people have contracted the HIV virus or are infected with AIDS, bringing the statistics of orphaned children to a staggering 570,000. As a result of the high rate of children with deceased parents and family members, Charles saw the need to build an orphanage where the children of Zambia could have a place to grow and call home. Through the orphanage, Mufutuli Ministries is nurturing young children to become Christian leaders and business innovators by providing them with a solid foundation in education and sustainable farming skills that empower them physically and spiritually.
